Boosting Blogger
Googlist present a considered and provocative list of 18 things that would make Blogger a much more potent and respected blog host. I particularly like number 1 - Categories with Tags... Imagine that?) and numbers 11 & 12 - navigable file storage for images and other blog-post enclosures, as well as (maybe?) some room for template images. Just the thing to get a discussion rolling. I have a suspicion that a lot of this stuff is coming, whenever Blogger gets its next makeover.... We'll see. Check out the list & let me know what you think...

I think you might be glad to know that Blogger has been offering storage to blog template images for a few weeks or months now already -- just upload them in the post editor, extract the URL and use it in your template instead of in the post. The crushing misfeature of recoding PNGs as JPEG is no more, so you can easily add your flags, buttons, icons and other decorative flares of all kinds now.

That's not blogger offering storage... that's a few smart users realising that you can pull out a URL from the black hole of post-image storage, and repaste the image somewhere else...

I'm looking for a geocities style file manager, with upload and review features, and the ability to see what's in your account from a management interface, instead of from the land of the right-click...
