C J Millisock has the scoop on adding an ajax-enabled Google blog search box to your blogspot blog. The result (see the top-right of CJ's blog) is a very nice expandable search box that floats over your blog and returns results with a link, citation and post extract. Neat hack, and there's a great comment from Dataphage on the possibility of tying categories to search results for topical searches across the blogosphere.

1) Since this directly comes from Google, you can be very sure that sooner than later, they're going to start inserting ads with the searches. They've said this too, and I've got it all at Google Search, Now in AJAX
2) Its possible to a do a 'who's blogging this' search by looking up the link returned by the search, and then using Greg's excellent Recursive Backlinks hack.
Also, remember that as Google said, this release is not that stable, as its only 0.1. Future releases will be stabler, but with ads. Definitely a no-go for me!
