So, after noodling around in beta in response to a reader's question about using Haloscan's new auto-import system with the new blogger, I was greeted with an arm-twisty hammerlock (I exaggerate for comic effect, of course!) in my old account and encouraged to make the move, thus Freshblog now resides in Beta.
John, the only thing beta has going for it is the labels, but you lose a few great features old Blogger had. You would think Blogger would keep features that worked and just added to it, but no, that's too smart!
I use to be able to add great banners to my blog easily by simply uploading them to a post, copying the image links from that post, then add them to my blogs template, but that doesn't work anymore!
I'm not providing a link to my profile due to the extremely offensive language directed to Google's Blogger in my latest post.
If you decide to incorporate some of the new features whilst sticking with Classic, a "how-to" post for the rest of us would be most helpful!
(Or, for that matter, if you switch. A one-stop-shop with all the essential new widgetry would be pretty cool too.)
You mean the New Blogger section of the Wiki? ;)
